My work was part of this touring exhibition commissioned
by The Collins gallery in Glasgow. The exhibition consisted
of British and Japanese basketmaker artists and explored the
diversity of materials, techniques and structures, which are
used. My work used hair moss to make a large (70cm by 180cm)
delicate piece based on the old measurement for cloth, the
Ell, the precursor to the yard.
Cridhe na Gaidhealtachd - Work for the Scottish parliament
as Highland year of culture. My work used heather, making
a large panel along with five ropes using traditional materials
(heather, birch, rush, hair moss and grass).
